» May 25, 1996: Oakland's Pedro Munoz belts the longest home run in the 5-year history of Camden Yards to lead the A's to a 6–3 win over the Orioles. The 463-foot shot to dead center comes in the 6th inning with two on, and breaks a 2–2 tie. Mark McGwire also homers for Oakland. The O's get two more homers from Brady Anderson, and a dinger from Mike Bordick, but that's all the scoring. » December 12, 1996: The Orioles sign free agent SS Mike Bordick to a 3-year contract.
» April 22, 1999: Tampa Bay defeats Baltimore, 1–0, as Ps Tony Saunders, Jim Mecir and Roberto Hernandez combine on a 1–hitter. SS Mike Bordick's single with two outs in the 8th inning is the only hit Oriole hit.
» May 16, 1999: The Orioles outslug the Rangers, 16-5, pounding out 24 hits in the process. All nine Baltimore starters have two or more hits for the Orioles, with Mike Bordick leading the way with 4. Albert Belle hits a pair of homers and knocks home five runs for the Orioles.
» August 10, 1999: The Orioles defeat the Devil Rays, 17-1. All nine Baltimore starters score at least one run and reach base at least twice. SS Mike Bordick leads the attack with four hits, including two doubles, and five RBI.
» May 29, 2000:
The Dodgers defeat the Mets, 4-1. Mets SS Rey Ordonez breaks his left forearm on a tag play in the 1st inning and will be out the season. His arm hits the helmet of a sliding F.P. Santangelo. The Mets will fill in with various bodies for two months before renting Mike Bordick from the O's.
» July 28, 2000: The Mets pick up All-star SS Mike Bordick from the Orioles for IF/OF Melvin Mora, C Mike Kinkade, and pitchers Lesli Brea and Pat Gorman. New York then picks up OF Bubba Trammell and P Rick White from the Devil Rays for light-hitting OF Jason Tyner and P Paul Wilson.
» December 19, 2000: What youth movement? The Orioles sign free agent P Pat Hentgen to a 2-year contract and tomorrow SS Mike Bordick will come back to the O's inking a 2-year contract. The day after they will sign another vet, 1B David Segui to a 4-year contract.
» April 11, 2002: The Orioles pound Tampa Bay, 15–6, scoring a franchise–high 12 runs in the 6th inning. They also collect a club–high 11 hits in 16 at bats. Mike Bordick leads the way with three RBIs.
» August 24, 2002:
The Orioles drop a pair to the Blue Jays, losing 4–1 and 8–3. This is the start of a miserable 4–31 year–end slide. In game 1, a makeup of a July 23 rainout, Vernon Wells has four hits, including a homer, and scores three runs. Pete Walker pitches seven innings for the win. The bright spot for Baltimore is Mike Bordick, who fields four chances flawlessly to set a major-league record with 428 straight chances without an error. It breaks the mark that Cal Ripken set in 1990. Wells and Chris Woodward hit homers in game 2.
» September 20, 2002:
Baltimore's Mike Bordick sets a major-league record with his 102nd consecutive errorless game at SS as the Orioles drop a 4–2 decision to the Red Sox. He also extends his ML mark of errorless chances at SS to 504.

The Blue Jays sign free agent SS Mike Bordick to a contract.
