hit two homers in one inning for Montreal (7/6/73). Expo Manager Gene Mauch called
him "one of the most underrated players in the league."

Willie Mays, playing CF for the Mets, coaxes a leadoff walk in the first and scores on a triple by Ted Martinez. Sliding home, he knocks the ball out of C John Boccabella's glove and into the dugout, allowing Martinez to score. The Mets beat Montreal, 2-1.
»July 6, 1973: The Expos take two in a doubleheader with the Astros 12–8 and 14–6. In the first game, John Boccabella hits two home runs in the 6th inning for Montreal.
