(9/15/10) by defeating Walter Johnson, 3-0, on a six-hitter. Blanding had his best
year in 1912, going 18-14 for the Indians.

»September 15, 1910: Cleveland tops Washington, 3–0, with Walter Johnson losing to the Naps after four straight wins against them. The victory goes to Fred Blanding in his major league debut. Nap Lajoie scores a run but is 0-for-3.
»June 21, 1912: The Indians overcome a swipe of home in the first inning by Ty Cobb to beat the Tigers, 6–2. Fred Blanding is the winner.
»May 31, 1914: Joe Benz, who will be the AL's leading loser with 19, no-hits Cleveland 6–1 at Comiskey Park. Three straight errors in the 4th inning give the Naps their only run. The loser is Abe Bowman, who "is withdrawn in favor of [Fred] Blanding after three spasms (Chicago Tribune)." Buck Weaver and Ray Demmitt each have three hits to pace the 7th place White Sox.
