FROM THE BASEBALL CHRONOLOGY
»April 9, 2001:
Chicago rookie Rocky Biddle survive five rocky innings—2 run and 10 hits—to get the 9–2 win over the Indians. In the 6th Tribe reliever Steve Woodard stops a Frank Thomas line drive with his pitching elbow and leaves the game on a stretcher. He'll be out of action for a month and when he comes back he'll ask to be traded.
