Bay was the American League stolen base champion in 1903 with 45. He had 169 career stolen bases and remains among Cleveland's all-time leaders. He set a since-tied major league record with 12 outfield putouts in a July 19, 1904 game against Boston (12 innings). (ME)

» March 7, 1908: Near Lexington, Kentucky, the train carrying the Cleveland Naps is struck by two bricks shattering windows. Elmer Flick, Bill Bradley, and Harry Bay are hit by the flying glass while playing euchre, but no injuries occur. Tomorrow, the team will arrive safely in Macon, Georgia, for spring training.

» June 23, 1919: White Sox CF Happy Felsch handles a record-tying 12 chances in a 9-inning game. Only Harry Bay of Cleveland in 1904 has been so busy.
