FROM THE BASEBALL CHRONOLOGY
» August 3, 1990: Cleveland's Tom Candiotti has his no hitter spoiled in the 8th inning when New York's Oscar Azocar singles. Candy leaves the game then and takes the loss as the Tribe drops a 6–4 decision. In just his 2nd week in the majors, Cleveland's Alex Cole ties a major-league record by stealing seven bases in two games. He set the club record by swiping five bases against the Royals on August 1st.
