Armour was credited with finding and buying Ty Cobb for $500 while he was Tigers manager. In 1907 he bought a one-third interest in the Toledo club of the American Association. He later scouted for the Cardinals and was business manager for the minor league Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Blues in 1914-15. (NLM)
