Armour was credited with finding and buying Ty Cobb for $500 while he was Tigers
manager. In 1907 he bought a one-third interest in the Toledo club of the American
Association. He later scouted for the Cardinals and was business manager for the
minor league Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City
Blues in 1914-15.
