    Jul 8, 2005 - The Tigers beat the Devil Rays‚ 7-3. TB outfielder Carl Crawford becomes just the 5th player in ML history to steal 150 bases and have 500 hits before turning 24 years old. Ty CobbCesar CedenoSherry Magee‚ and Rickey Henderson are the only others to have turned the trick.

    Aug 26, 1998 - Atlanta's Andruw Jones steals his 20th base of the season‚ becoming the youngest player ever to have a 20 homer‚ 20 steal season. Cesar Cedeno was the previous record-holder. The Braves go on win by a score of 6-2.

    Oct 5, 1985 - The Cardinals‚ Royals‚ and Blue Jays all clinch their division championships. John Tudor pitches a 4-hitter and Cesar Cedeno goes 3-for-3 with a HR‚ as St. Louis beats the Cubs 7-1. It is Tudor's 20th win in 21 decisions after starting the season 1-7.

Witnesses said that 3 men in the box seats had been loudly berating Cedeno's wife and making remarks about the 1973 incident in which he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for the accidental shooting death of a young woman in the Dominican Republic.

    Aug 9, 1976 - In Houston's 13-4 win over the Cardinals‚ Cesar Cedeno hits for the cycle.

    Dec 11, 1973 - In a motel in the Dominican Republic‚ Cesar Cedeno is with a girl friend when she takes his gun and accidentally shoots and kills herself. After the gunshot‚ Cedeno calls the police and says that a woman has been killed. Then he flees the scene before turning himself in to the police 8 hours later. Cedeno is charged with voluntary manslaughter‚ and spends 20 days in jail before the charges are reduced to involuntary manslaughter and he is released. He will be found guilty of the latter‚ fined‚ but spend no more time in jail.
