Included are 1B Dick Kryhoski‚ Ps Bob Turley and Don Larsen‚ and SS Billy Hunter from Baltimore. To the Orioles go OF Gene Woodling‚ SS Willie Miranda‚ Ps Harry Byrd and Jim McDonald‚ and Cs Gus Triandos and Hal Smith. The trade will help both teams.

Jul 24, 1954 - After Casey Stengel pulls Phil Rizzuto in the 8th for a pinch hitter‚ he brings in Mickey Mantle again at SS. Mantle plays short with Willie Miranda at 2B against lefthanded hitters. Against righties‚ Miranda and Mantle switch positions. But Cleveland wins 5-4 on Larry Doby's 2-run homer in the 10th‚ his 3rd homer in 2 days at Yankee Stadium. Sam Dente fills in at SS for George Strickland‚ sidelined with a broken jaw. The Tribe go 21?2 games up on New York.

Jun 28, 1952 - The White Sox buy back Willie Miranda from the Browns‚ which had acquired the SS from Chicago 2 weeks ago. Miranda will fill in for the injured Carrasquel.
