May 23, 1935 - Cleveland has an internal problem between manager Walter Johnson and two veterans 3B Willie Kamm and Glenn Myatt. Judge Landis refuses to intervene and Kamm is eventually made a scout while Myatt is released. Johnson continues his shaky tenure which will not last the season.
Aug 2, 1934 - Walter Johnson is hospitalized with pleurisy and Willie Kamm takes over as interim Cleveland manager.
May 5, 1932 - Jimmie Foxx has a homer 2 singles and scores 5 times as the A's beat Cleveland and Wes Ferrell 15-3. Lefty Grove holds Cleveland scoreless till the 7th when Willie Kamm hits a 2-run HR. The Mackmen retaliate with 7 runs in the frame.
Oct 15, 1931 - Sportswriter Fred Lieb leads an all-star squad on a barnstorming trip to Hawaii and Japan. Among those aboard ship are Lou Gehrig Frank Frisch Rabbit Maranville Willie Kamm Al Simmons Lefty O'Doul Mickey Cochrane and Lefty Grove.

Sep 9, 1929 - Chicago drives Sam Jones to the showers with three runs in the 7th as the White Sox beat the Senators 7-4. Young Ed Walsh is the winner allowing six hits. Cissell hits for the circuit while Willie Kamm adds two triples and a double.
Jul 20, 1929 - Ted Lyons and the White Sox beat the visiting Indians 13-4. Willie Kamm homers for the Sox and applies the hidden ball trick to Charley Jamieson in the 7th.
May 1, 1929 - Helped by a triple play the White Sox double the Indians 8-4. Willie Kamm finishes the triple play by nabbing Jamieson with a hidden ball trick at 3B.
Aug 6, 1928 - In Chicago the Sox drop the stumbling Yankees 5-4 in 15 innings. Willie Kamm triples home the run that gives Grady Adkins the win. George Pipgras takes the loss.
Sep 2, 1927 - For the 2nd time this year Ruth and Gehrig blast back-to back homers in the 1st inning off the A's Rube Walberg as the Yanks roll 12-2. The duo has connected in the same inning 5 times this year. Gehrig adds another in the 2nd off Rube for his 43rd of the year to leave him one behind Ruth. Trade rumors fill the NY papers. Speculation has Gehrig going to Detroit or Bob Meusel heading for Chicago in exchange for Willie Kamm and Bibb Falk. None of the players change addresses.
May 7, 1923 - In an 8-4 win over Chicago Tigers 3B Bob Jones ties an AL record with 9 assists; Willie Kamm will match it for the White Sox on September 30th.
Apr 18, 1922 - Willie Kamm makes his debut for the White Sox in a 6-5 loss at Cleveland. He hits a double and handles 2 chances afield. The first $100000 priced minor league player (bought from the San Francisco Seals) Kamm will be voted by Chicago fans the all-time White Sox 3B.
