Apr 9, 2005 - The Brewers manage only 1 hit off Victor Zambrano Chad Fox and LaTroy Hawkins-a 2nd inning single by Russell Branyan-as the Cubs set them down 4-0. It is the 1st loss of the season for Milwaukee the last undefeated ML team.
Aug 17, 2004 - Jason Jennings goes 7 innings and is credited with the win in the Rockies 6-4 victory over the visiting Mets. Matt Holliday has a homer and scores 3 runs. New York loses recently acquired pitcher Victor Zambrano for the season when he runs off the mound after walking a batter in the 3rd. They will lose him exactly the same way in May 2006.
Jul 30, 2004 - In a swap criticized by New York media the Mets acquire pitchers Victor Zambrano and Bartolome Fortunado from the Devil Rays in exchange for highly touted pitchers Scott Kazmir and Jose Diaz. It is Zambrano poster day for the Devil Rays. The Mets also obtain pitcher Kris Benson and IF Jeff Keppinger from the Pirates for IF Ty Wigginton P Matt Peterson and IF Jose Bautista whom they acquired from KC for C Justin Huber. While Bautista did not get into a game for the Mets the Pirates will be the 4th team he suits up for this year.
