Griffith was a swift right fielder with one of the best arms in the NL. He was consistently
in double figures in assists and topped 20 three times. A favorite with Dodger fans
from 1919 to 1924, he was an occasional .300 hitter. His best all-around year was
1921, when he hit .312 with a dozen homers and drove in 71 runs for Brooklyn.
