Jan 10, 2006 - The Padres sign free agent P Shawn Estes to a contract.
Jan 12, 2005 - The Diamondbacks sign free agent P Shawn Estes 15-8 with the Rockies. Arizona also sends IF Shea Hillenbrand to the Blue Jays in exchange for P Adam Peterson.
Oct 2, 2004 - Shawn Estes goes 4 innings his shortest start in the past 27 as his Rockies lose to the Astros 9-3. Houston rockets 6 home runs 2 each by Jeff Kent and Craig Biggio.
Aug 13, 2004 - Starting pitcher Jon Rauch of the Expos homers off Houston's Roger Clemens (Shawn Estes is the only other pitcher to do so) but leaves with a bad back and a 4-0 lead. The Astros tie it up and then score a run in the 12th on a homer by Morgan Ensberg. Alex Gonzalez matches that in the bottom of the frame and Terrmel Sledge drives in the winner with a single as the Expos win 6-5.

Aug 15, 2002 - The Mets trade P Shawn Estes to the Reds for minor leaguers Pedro Feliciano and Elvin Andujar and two players to be named.
Jun 14, 2002 - It is a day for Shawns as Shawn Estes of the Mets becomes the 10th pitcher since the introduction of the DH in 1973 to hit a homer off an A.L. pitcher when he hits a 2-run HR off Roger Clemens of the Yankees. All 10 post-DH pitcher homers off A.L. pitching have come during interleague play. Estes throws 7 innings and strikes out 11 in the 8-0 win. He also gets a warning in the 3rd when Clemens makes his first batting appearance against the Mets since drilling Piazza 2 years ago. Estes throws his first pitch behind Clemens. Piazza answers in his own way homering off Roger in the 5th his 4th homer in 15 at bats against the Rocket. Rogers leaves in the 6th after hurting his foot sliding into 2B on a double.
Apr 26, 2002 - The Mets defeat the Brewers 1-0 behind Shawn Estes' one-hitter. A 7th-inning single by Eric Young is Milwaukee's only hit.
Dec 16, 2001 - The busy Mets make another deal‚ obtaining P Shawn Estes from the Giants in exchange for OF Tsuyoshi Shinjo and now expendable infielder Desi Relaford. They also sign free agent P Pedro Astacio‚ suffering from a torn labrum‚ to a one year contract worth $5 million.

His last pinch homer was in 1989 off Rich Gossage (then with the Giants). D'Amico follows the blast with 2 walks then reliever Will Cunnane adds 2 more walks and a HBP good for 2 runs. May 24, 2000 - The Giants defeat the Expos 18-0 as pitcher Shawn Estes hits one grand slam and narrowly misses another as he collects 5 RBIs. The game is the Giants largest shutout win in modern times breaking their previous record 16-0 set on July 3 1949 against the Dodgers; the previous SF record was 14-0 against the Reds on August 23 1961. Their all-time record is a 24-0 win against the Buffalo Bisons on May 27 1885. On the other side the game was also the worst shutout loss in Expos history breaking the record of 16-0 set against the Cardinals on August 11 1980.
