Aug 28, 1998 - The Mariners clout 3 HRs in a 10-3 loss to the Yankees making them the 1st team in history to reach the 200-HR mark for a season in 3 consecutive years. Shane Monahan Russ Davis and Rob Ducey each belts a solo round-tripper for Seattle.
May 26, 1997 - At the Metrodome Edgar Martinez and Jay Buhner both homer twice and Joey Cora extends his hitting streak to 21 games as Seattle wins 13-8. Martinez collects a pair of three-run homers while Buhner's are two solo shots as the Mariners won for just the third time in 11 games. Cora leads off the game with a homer and Russ Davis finishes with a solo homer in the ninth for Seattle. Scott Sanders is shaky but wins his first of the year for the M's.
Apr 11, 1996 - The Mariners get 3 homers from Dan Wilson and HRs from Russ Davis and Ken Griffey Jr. to roll over Detroit 9-1. Randy Johnson who has a no-hitter through six innings is the winner.
Dec 7, 1995 - The Yankees obtain 1B Tino Martinez P Jeff Nelson and minor league P Jim Mecir from the Mariners in exchange for P Sterling Hitchcock and 3B Russ Davis. In a memorable day Martinez signs a 5-year $20.25 million contract and his wife gives birth to their 3rd child.
