    Rob Ducey

Ducey survived more than a decade in the big leagues without ever winning a fulltime job. Mainly a defensive replacement in the outfield, Ducey owned a decent arm and showed some extra-base power at the plate, but never hit consistently enough to earn regular playing time. He came up through the Blue Jays' system and spent his first five-and-a-half seasons with Toronto before getting traded to California in July 1992 with catcher Greg Myers for reliever Mark Eichhorn. After bottoming out with Texas in 1994, he spent two years in Japan but returned to the major leagues with Seattle in 1997. He logged a career-high 217 at-bats in 1998 while filling in for an injury-plagued Jay Buhner. (AGL)
