    Ray Mack

A tough and brilliant second baseman, Cleveland native Ray Mack teamed with Lou Boudreau as the Indians' double play combo in the early 1940s. He saved Bob Feller's Opening Day no-hitter in 1940 with a diving stop for the final out. Mack had passed up football for baseball, but his son Tom played for the NFL Rams. (JK)
