The brother of Braves' infielder Joe Coscarart was the outstanding rookie second baseman of 1939 and followed that season with an All-Star Game appearance the next year. As his hitting declined, Pete was replaced by Billy Herman in 1941 and then traded to Pittsburgh. He started at short for the 1942 Pirates and at second for the next three seasons. (ME)
