    Patsy Dougherty

The brawling Irishman was the first player to hit two home runs in a World Series with a pair for the Red Sox in 1903. After Dougherty engaged in a fistfight with Highlanders Manager Clark Griffith, New York placed him on waivers. White Sox Manager Fielder Jones, who'd earlier discovered Dougherty as a semi-pro, claimed him to bolster the "Hitless Wonders," the 1906 Sox who won the World Championship. He led the AL in stolen bases in 1908 with 47. (RL)
