The 6'5" 220-lb Zauchin, Boston's hope as a righthanded, power-hitting first baseman, hit 27 HR with 93 RBI as a rookie in 1955. He also struck out an AL-high 105 times. He had three homers and drove in ten runs against Washington that May 27. Failing to hit after 1955, he was traded to the Senators in 1958. (PB)
