Cullop was a good-fielding, power-hitting outfielder who set the minor league career
record with 1857 RBI. In the best of his several ML trials, he hit eight homers in
104 games for Cincinnati in 1931; he also struck out 84 times to lead the league.
He was TSN Minor League Manager of the Year in 1943 with Columbus and in 1947 with Milwaukee (both in the American Association).
