    Mike Jorgensen

Jorgensen was always an asset due to fine defensive skills (he won a Gold Glove at first base in 1973), a team-first attitude, and an ability to draw walks, despite being a modest batsman. Originally a Met, he was traded to Montreal in 1972 with Tim Foli and Ken Singleton for Rusty Staub. He had career highs of 18 HR and 144 games as the Expos' first baseman in 1975. Mostly a lefthanded pinch hitter and defensive replacement in later years, after appearing in the 1985 WS with the Cardinals he became a manager in their farm system. (FJO)
