This Texan won 46 games over three years with Washington, 1930-32, after which he
went 33-53. He is chiefly remembered as the pitcher who gave up the most home runs
to Lou Gehrig (15), including two grand slams. Brown pitched for 30 years in pro
ball, 1923-53, and scouted for the Phillies and Senators.
