Les Biederman

Biederman retired in 1969 after 39years with the Pittsburgh Press and 20 years as a correspondent for The Sporting News. He ranked Harvey Haddix 's 12-inning perfect game his greatest thrill in sports. A graduate of Ohio State, he was president of the BBWAA in 1959 and was credited with raising a half-million dollars for Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. (NLM)
