    Dec 9, 2003 - The Phillies sign free agent P Tim Worrell to a 2-year contract‚ continuing a tradition of signing the lesser brother ball player: Tim joins Vince DiMaggioKen BrettMike Maddux‚ Rick Surhoff‚ Mark LeiterJeremy Giambi and Frank Torre.

    Apr 4, 1998 - The Twins' Mike Morgan hurls the first 7 innings of Minnesota's 3-2 loss to KC. In doing so‚ he ties a modern major league mark‚ shared by Bob Miller and Ken Brett‚ by appearing in a game with his 10th team. In the game‚ Minnesota OF Otis Nixon has his jaw broken while sliding into 2B when he is kicked in the face by Royals SS Felix Martinez.

    Apr 7, 1977 - On snowy day‚ American League baseball makes its debut in Toronto at a football field called Exhibition Stadium. Doug Ault hits two home runs in a 9-5 win over the Chicago White Sox. The first baseman tags Ken Brett for a solo shot in the first and then hits a two-run homer in the third off Brett before 44‚649 freezing fans. Al Woods hits a pinch HR on the first pitch in his first ML at bat‚ just the 11th player in ML history to do so.

    May 26, 1976 - In a scoreless game in Anaheim‚ Chicago's Ken Brett has a no-hitter with 2 out in the 9th when California's Jerry Remy tops a slow roller down the 3B line. 3B Jorge Orta lets the ball roll and‚ in a controversial ruling‚ it is scored a hit‚ though many thought it ought to be ruled an error. Brett gives up a hit in the 10th to ex-Sox Bill Melton but wins the game 1-0 in 11 innings.

    May 18, 1976 - The White Sox trade OF Carlos May to the Yankees for pitcher Ken Brett and OF Rich Coggins.

    Dec 11, 1975 - In two separate deals‚ the Yankees acquire Ps Dock Ellis and Ken Brett‚ and 2B Willie Randolph from the Pirates for P Doc Medich; OF Mickey Rivers and P Ed Figueroa from the Angels for OF Bobby Bonds. Randolph will hold down 2B for a decade while Rivers will provide fine CF. Medich will go 8-11 before being traded.

    May 27, 1974 - The Pirates Ken Brett no-hits the Padres until the 9th inning‚ settling for a 2-hit 6-0 shutout in the first game of the doubleheader. In the 2nd game‚ Brett's 2-run pinch triple gives the Bucs an 8-7 win.

    Jul 21, 1973 - Atlanta Brave Hank Aaron hits a Ken Brett fastball into the left-CF stands for a 2-run HR during an 8-4 loss to the Phillies. It is career HR 700 for Aaron‚ only the 2nd player to reach that milestone.

    Jun 23, 1973 - Phillies P Ken Brett beats the Expos 7-2 and hits a HR for a ML-record 4th consecutive game‚ three of them leading off innings. He hit HRs on June 9th‚ 13th‚ and 18th‚ all solo: he will total 10 homers for his career.

    Jun 18, 1973 - Philadelphia's Ken Brett tops the Mets 9-6 and cracks his 3rd HR in his last 3 starts.

    May 19, 1973 - Philadelphia's Ken Brett holds Chicago's Glenn Beckert hitless in the first game‚ a 3-0 win‚ of a doubleheader‚ ending his 26-game hitting streak. Chicago takes the nitecap‚ 7-6.

    Oct 31, 1972 - The Phillies trade IF Don Money and 2 others to the Brewers for 4 pitchers‚ including Jim Lonborg and Ken Brett.

    Oct 11, 1971 - The Red Sox and the Brewers engineer a 10-player trade that sees P Jim Lonborg‚ P Ken Brett‚ OF Joe Lahoud‚ OF Billy Conigliaro and 1B George Scott go to Milwaukee‚ and P Marty Pattin‚ P Lew Krausse and OF Tommy Harper head to Boston.

    Aug 30, 1970 - In the first of 2 at Chicago‚ the Red Sox roll to a 22-11 win over the White Sox. This is the 10th time in history that the Red Sox have score 20 or more runs. Ken Brett is the victor.

    Aug 25, 1970 - In Minnesota‚ a bomb scare delays the game with Boston for 43 minutes in the 4th‚ but the only bomb is an 8th inning homer by Tony Conigliaro to give the Sox a 1-0 win. The Sox end the game with a double play‚ a 1-6 force at 2B‚ then a throw home to nab Oliva trying to score. Ken Brett is the winner in relief over Hall.
