    Juan Pizarro

The fireballing Puerto Rican-born Pizarro broke in with the Braves at 19 after going 23-6 for Jacksonville (Sally League) in 1956. He reached his pinnacle during the early 1960s with the White Sox. In 1962 Pizarro threw a pair of two-hitters, and in 1964 he went 19-9 (2.56). He was used mostly in relief from 1966 on, but once outdueled Met ace Tom Seaver 1-0, homering for the Cubs' only run. Pizarro and Dennis Lamp are the only pitchers to throw one-hitters with both the Cubs and the White Sox. (RTM)
