Cambria was brought to the US from his native Italy when he was three months old, and was a minor league outfielder until he broke his leg in 1916. He owned several
minor league clubs from 1929 to 1939, and became a scout for the Washington Senators
staying with the club when it moved to Minnesota as the Twins. Cambria signed Mickey(
, and Ed Yost for the Senators, but was best known for his scouting in
Cuba, signing over 400 Cuban players to pro contracts in his career.
