    May 30, 1969 - John Sipin hits a leadoff homer in the 10th inning‚ his first ML HR‚ to give the Padres a 3-2 win over the Expos. It's the Expos 14th straight loss.

    May 24, 1969 - Padres rookie 2B John Sipin debuts with a pair of triples‚ only the 4th player to do so‚ in a 7-5 San Diego loss to the Cubs. They are the only triples of his 68-game career. Sipin bangs his three-baggers in the 1st and 4th innings‚ off Ken Holtzman.
