Jacob C Morse

Beginning in 1889, Morse was one of four men (Tim Murnane, Ed Stevens, and Walter Barnes were the others) who controlled the destiny of baseball in Boston during his 25 years with the Boston Herald. He was secretary of the New England League and the founder and first editor of Baseball Magazine in 1907. In later years he wrote for the Boston Traveler. (NLM)
