With Baltimore in 1960, Fisher enjoyed his only winning season, going 12-11. That year he faced
Ted Williams on September 28, allowing the Splendid Splinter to homer in his final ML at-bat. Almost a year later, on
September 26, 1961, Fisher surrendered
Roger Maris's 60th homer of the 1961 season. He pitched the Mets' first game at
Shea Stadium (
April 17, 1964), but was not involved in the decision as the Pirates won, 4-3. Fisher lost NL-highs of 24 in 1965 and 18 in 1967 for the Mets. (
