With the addition of the 35-year-old slugger Adcock‚ 1B prospect Walt Bond will spend another year in the minors. Bond hit .380 with 6 HRs in 50 at-bats for Cleveland in September.

Buhl‚ coming off his first losing season since 1954‚ will be a solid starter over the next 4 years for the Cubs‚ winning 51 games.
