    Aug 23, 2001 - In a 6-2 loss to the Blue Jays‚ it is a busy night for Twins CF Torii Hunter. Hunter throws out consecutive runners at Darren Fletcher and Homer Bush‚ both trying to stretch singles. Later in the inning he bobbles a ball for an error. Roy Halladay is the winning pitcher.

    Aug 9, 1999 - The Blue Jays defeat the Rangers‚ 19-4‚ setting a team record by recording 25 hits. OF Jacob Brumfeld and 2B Homer Bush get 4 hits apiece for Toronto while 4 other players record 3 safeties each. P Doug Davis enters the game in the 6th inning for Texas‚ making his major league debut. In 2 1/3 innings of work‚ he allows 11 hits‚ including 3 HRs‚ while surrendering 10 earned runs. He'll return to the minors tomorrow.

    Feb 18, 1999 - The Yankees end the trade rumors by acquiring Cy Young winner Roger Clemens from the Blue Jays in exchange for pitchers David Wells and Graeme Lloyd‚ and IF Homer Bush.

    Apr 22, 1997 - After 4 months of on-and-off negotiations‚ the Yankees acquire the rights to Japanese P Hideki Irabu from the San Diego Padres for $3 million. New York sends injured OF Ruben Rivera and minor leaguer P Rafael Medina to San Diego. The Padres sweeten the deal by sending three minor leaguers to NY: 2B Homer Bush and outfielders` Gordon Amerson and Vernon Maxwell. Irabu's team‚ the Chiba Lotte Marines‚ gave the San Diego exclusive rights to the 27-year-old righthander‚ but Irabu refused to sign with the Padres‚ saying he would only go with the Yankees.
