Wolverton was a solidly-built third baseman who batted more than .300 for the Phillies in 1901 and 1903. He rapped out three triples in a July 13, 1900 game. While managing the Highlanders (later called the Yankees) to a last-place finish in 1912, he frequently used himself as a pinch hitter. (JK)
