    Apr 5, 2006 - In the Reds 8-6 victory over the Cubs, Ken Griffey, Jr. hits the 537th HR of his career to move past Mickey Mantle into 12th position on the all-time list. Winning pitcher Bronson Arroyo clubs his first ML homer, off Glendon Rusch. He’ll hit another off Rusch in two weeks.

    Aug 6, 2005 - The Cubs Glendon Rusch loses his perfect game in the 7th but beats the Cardinals‚ 5-2. Derrek Lee‚ on his 30th birthday‚ hits his 40th HR‚ and Corey Patterson also homers. Cardinals rightfielder Hector Luna makes two errors on two separate plays on the same batter in the same at bat. Neifi Perez hit a foul flyball and Luna drops it for an error. Perez hits another ball down the line for a double‚ which Luna misplays for another error.

    Sep 2, 2002 - The Cubs beat the Brewers‚ 17-4‚ to salvage a split in their doubleheader after Milwaukee takes the opener by a score of 4-2 on solo homers by Ron Belliard (2)‚ Eric Young and Jose Hernandez. Glendon Rusch wins his 8th straight over the Cubs. Chicago P Kerry Wood ties a ML record in the second game by fanning four Brewers in the 4th inning. Wood also homers off Andrew Lorraine‚ one of 5 gophers he serves up. Another is Sammy Sosa's 494th homer‚ moving him ahead of Lou Gehrig on the all-time list.

    May 12, 2002 - Milwaukee breaks the game wide open with grand slams in the 7th and 8th innings to beat the Cubs‚ 13-4. Paul Casanova and Richie Sexton each hit a salami for Milwaukee. Glendon Rusch is the victor.

    Jan 21, 2002 - In a complicated three-team deal‚ the Colorado Rockies trade Alex Ochoa and 2 prospects to the Mets for veterans Benny Agbayani and Todd Zeile. The Rocks will pay $2 mil of Zeile's $6 million contract‚ while the Mets agree to pay $3.25 million of it‚ plus a $500‚000 buyout payment on the contract. The 3rd team in the deal‚ the Brewers‚ chip in $250‚000 of Zeile's pay. The Mets receive minor leaguers Ross Gload and Craig House from Colorado. The Brewers then send slugger Jeremy Burnitz‚ starter Jeff D'Amico‚ INF Lou Collier‚ and 2 prospects to the Mets. New York ships pinchhitter/IF Lenny Harris‚ P Glendon Rusch‚ and Ochoa to Milwaukee. The Mets have now replaced half of their 2001 roster.

    Jul 14, 2001 - Mets manager Bobby Valentine wins his 1‚000th career game as pitchers Glendon Rusch and Armando Benitez combine to defeat Boston on a 1-hitter. When Rusch is unable to cover 1B‚ Trot Nixon's 1st inning bunt single is Boston's only hit in the 2-0 game.

    Oct 15, 2000 - The Mets defeat the Cardinals‚ 10-6‚ to take a commanding 3-games-to-1 lead in the NLCS. NY strokes a record 5 doubles in the 1st inning‚ and Mike Piazza slams a HR for the Mets. Glendon Rusch gets the win with 3 scoreless innings in relief.

    Jun 30, 1998 - Mark McGwire belts his 37th homer of the year‚ tying Reggie Jackson's record for most homers before the All-Star break. The homer is a 472-ft upper deck shot off KC's Glendon Rusch.
