Ramos is a utility infielder from the Dominican Republic. After brief appearances
with the Yankees and Blue Jays amid an eight-season minor league career, he latched
on with the Mariners in 1982, where he filled in at all four infield positions, never
appearing in more than 75 games. Primarily a glove man, Ramos hit over .200 just
twice, .283 in 1983 and .311 in 1987 (in 103 at-bats). The Mariners released him
after the 1987 season. He played for the Cubs in 1989 after signing as a free agent.
