DeWayne Buice

Buice had pitched ten years in the minors, including two in Mexico, before going 6-7 with a club-high 17 saves as a 29-year-old Angels rookie in 1987. He averaged almost a strikeout an inning. He was leading the staff in games but had a 5.11 ERA in June 1988 when he was disabled with a leg injury. (JCA)
