Aug 6, 1969 - Twins manager Billy Martin punches out his P Dave Boswell after a scuffle between Boswell and teammate Bob Allison. Boswell is hospitalized and requires 20 stitches. The Twins win today 3-1 behind Jim Perry's 7th straight win.
Sep 19, 1967 - Boston rallies again to beat Detroit 4-2 scoring 3 runs in the 9th inning. Jose Santiago (10-4) wins for the 2nd time in 2 days. The loss drops Detroit from 1st place down to 4th. Dave Boswell throws a 2-hitter to give the Twins an 8-2 win over the Royals. Joel Horlen wins his 18th game a 3-0 blanking of the Angels to leave the Sox in 3rd place a half-game behind the co-leaders Boston and the Twins.
