A contact hitter without power or speed, Iorg excelled in the post-season. He hit .529 as the Cardinals' designated hitter in the 1982 WS and won Game Six of the 1985 WS for the Royals with a two-run pinch single in the bottom of the ninth against the Cardinals. Garth Iorg is his brother. (FJO)
