Jul 22, 1901 - At St. Louis the Colts blow a 5-0 lead and the Cardinals win 6-5 scoring a run in the 8th against reliever rube Waddell. Pete Childs recently acquired from St. Louis to take over 2B from veteran Cupid Childs scores the last Chicago tally after hitting a triple in the 5th.
Jul 8, 1901 - At Chicago the Colts and Phils both score in the 9th and Chicago plates a run in the 10th to win 2-1. After the game Chicago releases veteran Cupid Childs who went hitless today.
May 22, 1901 - Boston takes a pair from the St. Louis Nationals by 5-4 scores. In game 2 a triple play in the 2nd inning helps though Cupid Childs scores on the play. St. Louis also scores in the 1st inning of game 2 when Jesse Burkett leads off with a homerun. He'll do the same thing tomorrow to tie a ML mark.
Jul 1, 1896 - With Cupid Childs scoring 5 runs Cleveland wins 19-7 over Chicago to run its winning streak to 6. The Spiders are 36-18 and tied for first with Baltimore at 38-19.
