Ritchey was a deft, quick fielder and a clever hitter. He led NL second basemen in fielding percentage five times and double plays three times, and teamed with Honus Wagner as the Pirates' double-play combo for four years. He was the Pirates' second baseman in the first World Series, in 1903. (ADS)
