Iron Hands Hiller led NL second basemen with 29 errors playing for the 1962 NL champion
Giants. He was the first NL player to hit a
World Series grand slam, connecting off
Marshall Bridges in the seventh inning of San Francisco's 7-3, Game Four victory
over the Yankees. Later used extensively as a pinch hitter by the Mets, he led the
NL with 15 pinch hits in 1966.
