    May 16, 2000 - The Dodgers defeat the Cubs‚ 6-5‚ in a game at Wrigley Field. The contest is held up for almost 10 minutes when a fan steals Chad Kreuter's hat and hits him in the back of the head in the 9th inning. Several Dodgers go into the stands where several fans are arrested in the fight that follows.

    Aug 10, 1999 - The Red Sox defeat the Royals‚ 9-6‚ as Boston P Tim Wakefield ties a major league record by striking out 4 batters in the 9th inning. KC C Chad Kreuter gets 2 hits in the game‚ his first breaking a streak of 38 consecutive at bats without a hit. It is the longest hitless streak in the majors since Dan Howitt of Oakland and Seattle went 0-for-43 in 1992

    Dec 14, 1998 - The Royals sign free agent C Chad Kreuter.
