Jun 22, 1954 - At Ebbets Field‚ Bud Podbielan pitches a 2-hitter as the Reds roll by the Dodgers‚ 13-1.

May 18, 1953 - Redlegs P Bud Podbielan walks 13 batters in 10 innings against Brooklyn‚ but holds on to win 2-1 on a Ted Kluszewski homer off starter Preacher Roe. No one has walked 13 in the NL since 1918. The Dodgers strand 18 against the former Dodger pitcher‚ tying the NL mark.

Reliever Bud Podbielan is the winner‚ the victory keeping Brooklyn in a first place tie with the Giants. Catcher Andy Seminick of the Phils walks 5 times‚ the first Phillie to do so in a game. The Dodgers overcome a 6-1 deficit to win and set the stage for a playoff with the Giants.
