World Series, the first night game in Series history. The rookie Pirate relieved
Luke Walker in the first inning with two out and three runs in. He hit a Series record
three batters but allowed the Orioles only one hit in 6-1/3 innings to win 4-3. The
injury-prone pitcher became known'`-(((both for brushback pitches and quality stretch-run
performances. He tied a record with four wins in LCS play.
