Jul 30, 1969 - Using 5 homers the Braves thrash the Phils 6-3 in game 1. Alou and Aaron homer and Bob Tillman hitting .187 hits three in a row. Aaron's blast is the 537th of his career and moves him past Mantle on the all-time list. The Phils win the nitecap 4-3. Dick Allen homers in the 2nd inning and follows a Callison homer in the 8th with his 2nd shot of the game.
Dec 7, 1967 - The Yankees trade C Bob Tillman and P Dale Roberts to the Braves for minor leaguer Bobby Cox.
Aug 3, 1967 - The Red Sox acquire C Elston Howard from the Yankees for cash and 2 players to be named (Ron Klimkowski and Pete Magrini). Howard will hit just .147 for Boston but provide a steady hand with the pitchers. With the deal the Sox will sell C Bob Tillman to the Yankees on August 8.
