Lee Magee‚ with his face swollen after yesterday's fight‚ sits out the game for the Reds and Heinie Zimmerman‚ on doctor's orders to avoid the near 90+ degree heat‚ watches for the Giants.

    Jul 26, 1918 - That's spelled Steal. Giants pitcher Bob Steele tosses a 7-hit shutout over the Cardinals to win 8-0. In the 6-run 7th‚ Steele steals home. The Giants are now 2 games in back of the Cubs‚ losers today to the Phils.
