Lee was the ace of the Angels' bullpen for three years, finishing fifth in the AL
with 19 saves his rookie year (1964) and fourth with 23 in 1965 (before the save
was an official statistic). His 1.51 ERA in 1964 was the second-lowest ever in the
AL for a rookie. He faded after being traded to the NL following the 1966 season.
