Bob Broeg

Broeg joined the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in 1945 and became sports editor in 1958. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the only person eligible to vote in the elections for the baseball, pro football, and college football Halls of Fame. He has authored nine books, including the popular Redbirds: A Century of Cardinal Baseball. In honor of his many contributions to baseball, the St. Louis chapter of SABR is named for him. (FJO)
