    Aug 31, 2004 - The Cubs acquire OF Ben Grieve from the Brewers for a player to be named and cash. Chicago also obtains C Mike DiFelice from Detroit for a player to be named.

    Dec 22, 2003 - The Brewers sign free agent OF Ben Grieve to a contract.

    Jan 8, 2001 - In a 3-way deal‚ the Royals obtain catcher A.J. Hinch‚ OF Angel Berroa and cash from the A's‚ and P Roberto Hernandez from the Devil Rays; the A's receive P Cory Lidle from the Devil Rays‚ and OF Johnny Damon‚ IF Mark Ellis‚ and a player to be named from the Royals; and the Devil Rays receive OF Ben Grieve and a player to be named from the A's.

The Twins pick Corey Koskie on the 26th round. On a draft-and-follow‚ the Cubs take Kyle Farnsworth on the 47th round.
