Foote was Montreal's strong-armed starting catcher from his rookie 1974 season (when he recorded career highs of 60 RBI and .262) until 1977. On April 22, 1980, playing for the Cubs against the Cards, he had eight RBI, including a game-winning grand slam. Following his playing career he managed in the Yankee farm system. (EW)
